Foodland Ventures partnered up with Haoshi Foundation and Meet Startup to look into the unique solutions 3 startups are providing to aquaculture and poultry farming by co-hosting a startup meetup at Startup Terrace Kaohsiung.
We also invited Qualcomm to share their experience working with and supporting startups in the AgriFood Tech space.
AgriFood Tech Demo Day 2022
We hosted our 2022 AgriFood Tech Demo Day and extended our reach to upper-stream teams in the supply chain. Our cohort#2 startups in the categories of alternative protein, smart aquaculture, smart farming and biotech presented their innovative solutions. Also, we were joined by top-tier investors including AgFunder and Big Idea Ventures, who shared their insights on global investment trends in the AgriFood Tech industry during our fireside chat session.
AgriFood Tech ESG Startup Showcase
We were excited to gather 7 innovative startups using their solutions to address challenges in our current food system.
From AIoT technology that can improve efficiency significantly in agriculture and aquaculture, to innovative ways to upcycle food waste, and also disruptive ingredients like an all-natural high-protein sweetener produced with precision fermentation and plant-based fats with customizable melting behaviors that could create delicious vegan-pork belly.
Greater South’s Restauranteurs' Salon
We hosted the <Restauranteurs' Salon x AgriFood Tech Startup Pitch Day> with Meet Startup at the 2022 Meet Greater South 5G AIoT Expo in Kaohsiung where we highlighted southern Taiwan's restaurant entrepreneurs and startups in the AgriFood Tech space.
AgriFood Tech Exclusive Match-Making
We hosted the <AgriFood Tech Startup Showcase> - an exclusive match-making event, featuring 8 startups ranging from farm to table, including teams in alternative protein, smart aquaculture, farming automation and farm management.
We welcomed more than 70 partners from food, agriculture, aquaculture and the restaurant industry, to connect with the teams that are providing innovative solutions to the challenges ahead.

More than 30 AgriFood tech founders and CTOs joined the mixer to chat about their founding journey, connect and explore collaborations. We had teams in #smart farming, drone tech, automation, restaurant SaaS, delivery, smart logistics, FinTech, and blockchain joining us, showing the diversity and potentials in the ecosystem.
